What this tool does
The Football Play Designer is a free-form play drawing tool built on a real NFL field. Choose a personnel grouping, drag players into formation, draw routes, add motion, annotate with text, and screenshot your finished play to save or share it.
How to use it

Pick a personnel grouping — Select 11, 10, 12, or Empty from the buttons at the top to set which players appear on the field

Position your players — Drag any player icon on the field to set your formation before drawing routes

Draw routes — Select Draw Routes and click or drag from a player to draw their route path on the field

Add motion or annotations — Use Motion to show pre-snap movement, Straight Line for blocking assignments, Add Text to label players or concepts, and Measure to check distances

Screenshot your play — Hit Screenshot to save a clean image of your finished design — use Undo Route to walk back a route or Reset All to start fresh
Tools explained
Draw Routes
Freehand route drawing — click and drag from any player to draw their path
Motion
Draw a pre-snap motion line showing a player shifting before the snap
Straight Line
Draw a straight line — useful for blocking assignments or alignment indicators
Add Text
Place a text label anywhere on the field to annotate players, routes, or concepts
Measure
Measure distance between two points on the field
Personnel (11/10/12)
Sets the offensive grouping — 11 = 1 RB 1 TE, 10 = 1 RB 0 TE, 12 = 1 RB 2 TE
