Edge

Value gained based on xEP's projection vs. the sportsbook line — quantifies how much of an advantage the model shows on a given bet NBA · NFL

EPA

Expected Points Added — the change in expected points resulting from a play, measuring how much a player or team helped or hurt their scoring chances NFL

EXP RUSH%

Expected Rush Rate — the predicted run rate based on down, distance, score, and game script NFL

FG%

Field Goal percentage — made field goals divided by field goal attempts NBA

3P%

Three Point percentage — made three-pointers divided by three-point attempts NBA

Gap

The run gap or blocking lane targeted on rushing plays — identifies where in the offensive line the ball carrier attacked NFL

Guaranteed

The portion of a contract a player receives regardless of being cut or injured Contracts

Matchup Score — a composite rating of how favorable a player's matchup is for a given game NFL

MTKL

Missed Tackles — number of times a defender failed to bring down a ball carrier on a tackle attempt NFL

OPP RANK

Opponent rank for that specific stat vs. the player's position — lower numbers mean tougher defensive matchups, higher numbers mean easier matchups NBA

Paint PTS

Points allowed in the paint — measures how many points a team gives up on shots in the lane and close to the basket NBA

Press%

Press percentage — how often cornerbacks press wide receivers at the line of scrimmage NFL

RTG

NFL Passer Rating — traditional composite QB efficiency metric combining CMP%, YPA, TD%, and INT% NFL

Rush EPA

Average Expected Points Added per rushing play for a team or player NFL

Rush SUCC%

Percentage of rushing plays that generated positive EPA NFL

Rush%

Percentage of a team's total offensive plays that were rushing attempts NFL

Score Diff

Score differential at the time of the play — positive = leading, negative = trailing NFL

SEP

Separation — the distance a receiver creates from the nearest defender at the time of the throw NFL

Shuttle

Short shuttle (20-yard) drill time in seconds — measures lateral quickness and acceleration Draft

SUCC%

Success Rate — percentage of plays that generated positive EPA, a better efficiency measure than raw yards NFL

Successful Play

A play that generated positive EPA — used as a binary efficiency marker on the Play-by-Play Tracker NFL

Target

The intended receiver on a passing play NFL

3-Cone

3-cone drill time in seconds — measures change of direction ability and agility Draft

Turnovers — total turnovers committed by a player (steals + blocks that result in turnovers, or ball lost) NBA

Time to Throw — average time in seconds from snap to release, measuring how quickly a QB gets rid of the ball NFL

Vertical

Vertical jump height in inches at the NFL Combine — measures lower body explosion Draft

Yards per Attempt — total passing yards divided by pass attempts NFL

Yards After Catch — receiving yards gained after the initial catch, measuring run-after-catch ability NFL

Percentage of time the defense has 8 men in the box — indicates run-stopping alignment and tendency to load up against the run NFL

Search for a player — Find any NBA player using the search bar to load their individual dashboard

Review xEP Projections — The left panel shows xEP's model projection for Points, Rebounds, Assists, and 3PM alongside the current sportsbook line and Edge value

Check Matchup Analytics — The right panel shows the opponent's defensive rank for each stat category and how they defend against the player's position specifically

Switch tabs — Use Trends, Alt Lines, and Game Logs to explore the player's recent form, alternate prop lines, and historical game-by-game stats

How to Use

Filter by market — Select a stat category (Points, Rebounds, Assists, 3PM, etc.) to narrow the prop list to that market

Read the Edge and OPP RANK — Edge shows model vs. book value; OPP RANK shows how tough or easy the matchup is for that specific stat and position
